It is a bay which opens up to the north and from which no land can be seen. Although it is considered a sandy beach, it does not look like the calm beaches of southern Skiathos. When there are northern winds, there are waves in the sea and this can make your swim more fun. You can reach Asselinos by road if you go through a piece of dirt road or by boat. After your swim, you can have something to eat or drink in the local taverna which offers a live Greek music program every night. There is also a camping site near the beach.
